As an update to the anticipated TEC approval scheme for telecom equipment (previously reported here), the Ministry of Communications has amended the Indian Telegraph Rules to include the testing and certification of telegraph (telecommunications) equipment.
These new “Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017” will come into force on 1st October 2018.
