The ACMA is seeking public comment on two proposals related to radiocommunications standards and their withdrawal from the regulatory framework.
Comments are open until 11 September 2017 and full details are available here.
- To allow the Radiocommunications (Digital Cordless Communications Devices – PHS Devices) Standard 2007 (PHS Standard) to sunset (on 1 October 2017).
- To repeal the Radiocommunications (Cordless Telephone) Standard 2008 (Cordless Telephone Standard) prior to its sunset date of 1 April 2019.
