A final version of NOM-208-SCFI-2016 has been published in the Official Gazette of Mexico on 7 February 2017. This new standard has an enforcement date 60 days from its publication (8 April 2017).
As previously reported (Draft NOM-208 Standard) existing certificates based upon older standards (NOM-121 and NOM-016) remain valid until their expiry.
The NOM-208 standard covers spread spectrum and frequency hopping radio devices operating in the bands 902-928MHz, 2400-2483.5MHz and 5725-5850MHz (includes WLAN and Bluetooth).
