India – TEC announces Phase II for Mandatory Testing & Certification of Telecommunications Equipment

TEC of India has published its notification of Phase II of the MTCTE regime. Three new categories of products are covered by these new rules:

    1. Transmission Terminal Equipment (PDH/SDH/OTN  Equipment, MUX, and similar)
    2. PON Equipment (ONU/OLT  with GPON, EPON, XGPON etc.)
    3. Feedback Device (IoT feedback device with Cellular / non-Cellular LPWAN connectivity)

These requirements become mandatory from 1st October 2020.
