A new regulation from the Minister of Communication and Information Technology has been published (PERDIRJEN NOMOR 161 TAHUN 2019) that covers requirements for Short Range Devices. This new regulation covers requirements for:

- Bluetooth
- Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN)
- RFID
- Near Field Communication (NFC)
- Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
- Other Short Range Devices
This regulation replaces preceding regulations, specifically: 130/DIRJEN/1995, 86/DIRJEN/1999, 207/DIRJEN/2001 and 241/DIRJEN/2005.
