A draft decree form the Directorate of Electronic and Telematic, Ministry of Industry in Indonesia proposes that all of Audio, Video and Similar Electronic Apparatus Product produced within the country or imported, distributed and marketed in the country shall meet SNI requirements. Manufacturers of these products therefore shall comply with those requirements by receiving a Product Certificate for Using SNI Mark.
Products will be expected to comply with:
SNI 04-6253-2003 Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus – Safety requirements which specifies term and definition, quality requirements, sampling, testing method, testing acceptance, marking requirement and packaging
Products expected to fall within the scope of this regulations include: Televisions with screen size up to 42 inches, Portable audio-video players, Disc players VCD/DVD/Blu-ray, Radio receivers, Audio power amplifiers, Active Speakers, Video game consoles and TV set-top boxes.
