Mexico has extended the validity period of the Emergency Mexican Official Standard NOM-EM-017-SCFI-2016 which covers digital interfaces connected to public networks operating at 2,048 kbit/s and 34,368 kbit/s (E1 and E3). This standard will continue to be valid for six months from 10 March 2017. The technical requirements are still based upon Technical Provision IFT-005-2016.
