Indonesia – New testing regulations

Indonesia has published new testing regulations for products that are tested at SDPPI lab (Announcement 331/BBPPT.31/III/2017 of 10th March 2017). Pre-testing is a required step to determine that samples are ready for full test.

  • Required technical documents must now be submitted at the time of pre-testing.
  • Any issues or problems with samples can be resolved (repair or replacement) a maximum of one time within a 30 day window. Failing to resolve issues in this time, or the need for further sample issue resolution after the 1 time attempt will result in cancellation of the testing application.
  • Devices with an AC port are now subject to conducted emission tests.
