ISED has published SMSE-002-17 opening a consultation on the rules for operation of RLAN devices in the 5150-5250MHz band. ISED are considering proposals to allow outdoor operation and higher power output for this band (which may mean that rules in Canada would be similar to changes implemented by the FCC in Report & Order 14-30) and have solicited comments from interested parties.
