SDPPI have introduced a simplified certification process for cell phones, handheld computers and tablets. The new process is based upon self declaration supported by test reports (from any recognized laboratory; can include foreign laboratories and manufacturer’s own facilities). The process still requires an Indonesian entity to make and submit the declaration and hold the certification (can be a subsidiary based in Indonesia or an appointed representative or distributor).
