India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has mandated that mobile phones support Indian languages as per IS 16333 (Part 3).
This requirement is being added to the Schedule of “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012” and will be effective from 1st July 2017.
