The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has revised the deadline for registration of server power supplies to December 31st, 2016. All power supplies for server and storage devices must be registered according to the “Electronics and IT Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2012” from January 1st, 2017.
This change is the Ministry’s response to industry seeking more time to comply, given the large volume of products that are covered under this requirement and the apparent confusion concerning the scope of the registration requirements.
