MIC has published Circular 42/2016/TT-BTTTT that lists regulated telecom and radio equipment along with the appropriate national technical regulations (QCVN standards). The new list replaces that from Circular 05/2014/TT-BTTTT and is effective from October 1, 2017.
The list includes some new categories of equipment such as DECT, LTE, UWB, 60GHz and wireless audio devices, as well as updating the technical regulations for existing categories.
In earlier drafts it was anticipated that 2.4/5GHz spread spectrum devices would no longer be exempt from regulation when output power was below 60mW, however, this has not happened in the final published circular (so there is no change to the status of such devices, but it is worth noting the updates to the technical regulations – EMC is now covered by QCVN 18:2014).
