In October 2016, the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) have been restructured to form the Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and the Government Technology Agency (GovTech).
IMDA is now responsible for equipment registration and approvals and has reissued the Technical Specifications of IDA with changes to reflect the new organization name. However, it has also included clarifications on EMC requirements for many devices. The Technical Specification for Short Range Devices now has a new section clarifying the applicability of EMC requirements. For typical SRDs (including WLAN, Bluetooth, WiGig, etc.) this will means the applicability of ETSI EN 301 489/CISPR 32 requirements.
As part of this reorganization the labeling requirements for approved telecommunications devices has been changed slightly to reflect the new name of the regulator.
