MIC has published Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT that lists regulated telecom and radio equipment along with the appropriate national technical regulations (QCVN standards). The new list replaces that from Circular 42/2016/TT-BTTTT and is effective from July 1, 2018.
The list changes the type approval requirements for some short range devices that were previously exempt (those operating with power below 60mW). Bluetooth, WLAN, Zigbee, LoRa and other IoT or SRD applications that operate below 60mW will still be subject to type approval and SDoC requirements.Update: this has been clarified by guidance document 1551/BTTTT-KHCN and devices with EIRP less than 60mW will continue to be exempt from MIC approval.
With this new circular the National Technical Regulation for EMC, QCVN 112:2017/BTTTT will replace QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT for WLAN devices.
