In brief these changes impact:<span class=\"fontstyle0\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Allow the operation of WLAN systems in automobiles in the 5150-5250 MHz band. Power is limited to 40mW EIRP.<\/li>\n<li>Allow operation in the 5925-6425 MHz band. This is a new allocation for Wi-Fi 6E devices. Devices can be used indoors with a power level of 200mW EIRP; or indoor and outdoors with a power level of 25mW EIRP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These changes were enacted on 2 September 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japan has updated its Radio Law that will affect WLAN operation in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands.
