It has published a new Class License and technical standard HKCA 1081 that will allow operation in the 5925-6425 MHz band:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Indoor operation with power up to 24 dBm EIRP<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor operation with power up to 14 dBm EIRP<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Products are expected to comply with EN 303 687 requirements but are allowed to deviate from EU requirements for indoor devices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Power output limit is increased by 1 dBm to 24 dBm EIRP<\/li>\n<li>PSD increased to 11 dBm\/MHz (from 10 dBm\/MHz)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While approval of client devices using the 6 GHz band would continue to be voluntary, it is expected that 6 GHz capable Access Points will fall into the compulsory certification scheme and be subject to labelling requirements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OFCA in Hong Kong has adopted rules to allow WLAN devices to use part of the 6 GHz spectrum.
