{"id":1526,"date":"2017-04-07T15:13:53","date_gmt":"2017-04-07T22:13:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nuzeal.com\/?p=1526"},"modified":"2017-04-07T15:13:53","modified_gmt":"2017-04-07T22:13:53","slug":"canada-new-version-of-rss-247-latest-transition-guidance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nuzeal.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/07\/canada-new-version-of-rss-247-latest-transition-guidance\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada &#8211; New version of RSS-247 Latest Transition Guidance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nuzeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/canada.png?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-840\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nuzeal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/canada.png?resize=191%2C100&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"100\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>ISED has recently published Issue 2 of RSS-247 (our original post included details of the changes <a href=\"https:\/\/nuzeal.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/03\/canada-new-version-of-rss-247\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The following certification procedure will apply with regards to the transition period for RSS-247 Issue 2:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If a certificate has been issued to RSS-247 issue 1 before the date of publication of RSS-247 issue 2 (February 23, 2017), nothing needs to be changed and it can be submitted as is to ISED via the SpectraWeb application;<\/li>\n<li>If a certificate has not been issued before the date of publication of RSS-247 issue 2, ISED recommends compliance to issue 2 but will continue to accept <u>test reports and certificates<\/u> compliant with RSS-247 Issue 1 <strong><em>until August 23rd, 2017<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 After <strong><em>August 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2017<\/em><\/strong><em> ,<\/em> CBs shall issue certificates showing RSS-247 Issue 2 compliance and test reports may continue to be in compliance with RSS-247 Issue 1 until <strong>Februrary 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2018<\/strong>, only if:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>it is supplemented with a partial test report covering any missing requirements from RSS-247 Issue 2; or<\/li>\n<li>it includes an attestation signed by the applicant, lab or CB indicating that the report covers all requirements in RSS-247 Issue 2.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>After February 23rd, 2018, <\/strong>all test reports must be compliant with RSS-247 Issue 2.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISED has recently published Issue 2 of RSS-247 (our original post included details of the changes here).
